Football Recap: Edna Karr Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Edna Karr ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the American Heritage Patriots by a score of 24-17.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamar Denson, who picked up 148 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Denson showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 57 yards. American Heritage also got a significant boost from Jonathan Bueno Jr, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 116 yards.

Edna Karr's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for American Heritage, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Edna Karr has already played their next match, a 63-0 win against McDonogh 35 on the 19th. As for American Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 31-21 loss against Central on the 19th.
