Basketball Recap: Central Skates Past Holtville with Ease

Central's game back in November was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 62-7 victory over the Holtville Vikings. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-1.

Central found their leader in sophomore Victoria Zamora, who posted 21 points and three steals. Janelle Thomas was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Holtville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Steele Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holtville, they will square off against Desert Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
