Softball Preview: Silver Creek Raptors vs. Frederick Golden Eagles
The Silver Creek Raptors will head out to face off against the Frederick Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Silver Creek couldn't beat Lyons on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Raptors came up short against the Lions, falling 14-4. The Raptors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Frederick came out on top against Pueblo County on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Hornets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.
Elayna Fisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Ella Stromberg was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
