Soccer Recap: East Mountain Victorious

Aztec kept up with East Mountain until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Timberwolves' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 3-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for East Mountain, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Zavier Hawkins and Noah Gomez scored all three of East Mountain's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

East Mountain now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Aztec, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Mountain will face off against Monte Del Sol Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aztec, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Bayfield at 4:00 p.m.
