Basketball Recap: High Tech SD Storm vs. San Dimas Saints
High Tech SD won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were beaten by the San Dimas Saints 68-30. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 727th, while the Saints are ranked 319th).
Arianna Feliz was High Tech SD's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kylei Hayward held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. Poema Strong took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead San Dimas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anelly Alba, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 16 points along with five assists and five steals. Alba continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Verdines-O?Cain, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 18 points and five steals.

With the loss, High Tech SD broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8. As for San Dimas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Tech SD will square off against La Jolla at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. La Jolla will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something High Tech SD surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Dimas, they will challenge Los Altos at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
