            For the first time this season, St. Bonaventure will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Simi Valley Pioneers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games St. Bonaventure has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

The Seraphs fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  16-14 last Friday. While the Seraphs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bulldogs  7-2.
Simi Valley not only won  last Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since October 10, 2024 (when they won  56-7). Everything went their way against Thousand Oaks as they made off with  a  48-28 win. The  victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won six in a row.
Simi Valley's win came from a few key players St. Bonaventure will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Connor Petrov, who rushed for 64 yards and two  scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 289 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Those  64  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Quentin McGahan, who picked up 183 receiving yards and two  TDs.
 Simi Valley was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 212  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thousand Oaks only  rushed for 66.
 Simi Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Bonaventure, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.
