Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Takes a Loss

Tri-Valley lost against Halifax back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tri-Valley Bulldogs took a blow against the Halifax Wildcats, falling 57-23. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Faith Artz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Artz has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Snyder, who posted six points and eight rebounds.

Tri-Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Halifax, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Tri-Valley and Halifax could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Tri-Valley (ranked 574th) will meet Williams Valley (ranked 95th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Halifax (ranked 449th) will meet Juniata (ranked 222nd) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
