Preview: Lakeland Chiefs vs. Riverside Vikings
Lakeland has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Riverside Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Lakeland was beaten by Mid Valley 56-25.
Meanwhile, Riverside was able to grind out a solid win over Mid Valley on Wednesday, taking the game 41-34.
Lakeland's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Riverside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Lakeland came up short against Riverside in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 48-35. Can Lakeland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
