The East Bakersfield Blades have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Wasco on Monday as East Bakersfield made off with a 47-25 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for East Bakersfield.
Wasco's loss came despite strong showings from Cassandra Evangelista and Illiana Villanueva. Evangelista scored eight points, while Villanueva scored six points along with six rebounds.
East Bakersfield now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Wasco, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Bakersfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Parlier at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Wasco is on the road again on Thursday and play against South at 6:30 p.m. on December 14th.
