Softball Recap: Mount Vernon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Mount Vernon was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Galloway on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Social Circle Redskins on Wednesday, falling 13-5. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Redskins earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Mount Vernon's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Social Circle, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Coming up, Mount Vernon will be playing at home against Whitefield Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Social Circle, they will head out to face off against Lake Oconee Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
