Baseball Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short

Lithia Springs fell victim to South Paulding and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 19-0. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Lithia Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaden Cooper, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Cooper is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Lithia Springs' record is now 3-10. As for South Paulding, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

While Lithia Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
