Football Recap: Shawnee Mission Northwest's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

Shawnee Mission Northwest dropped to 2-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Olathe Northwest Ravens by a score of 31-28. The Cougars were up 21-7 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Shawnee Mission Northwest lost, don't look at Traimyre Woodruff. Despite the final result, he rushed for 59 yards and two scores.

As for Olathe Northwest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victory almost wasn't to be: they were down 21-7 in the second quarter.

Olathe Northwest was led to victory by Bryce Randall and Brody Comfort. Randall rushed for 161 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, while Comfort rushed for 79 yards on only eight carries. Randall is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 145 every time he's taken the field this season.
