Softball Recap: East Rankin Academy Starts off Right with Win over Laurel Christian

East Rankin Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Laurel Christian Lions. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

East Rankin Academy's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Addison Derrick, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Laurel Christian fell to 4-1.

East Rankin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laurel Christian, they will take on Adams County Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
