If Buena Park was feeling good fresh off their 74-44 takedown of Valencia on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buena Park Coyotes fell 69-62 to the Crean Lutheran Saints on Saturday. The Coyotes' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Buena Park lost, don't look at Gloria Barrera. Despite the final result, she went 11 for 23 on her way to 29 points and five rebounds. That was a full 46.8% of Buena Park's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Barnes, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Buena Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Crean Lutheran was led to victory by Sydnee Norwood and Micaela Hanning. Norwood had 25 points, while Hanning put up 21 points. The matchup was Norwood's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Emma Goley was another key player, putting up seven points.

Buena Park's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Crean Lutheran, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
