Basketball Game Preview: Hollister Haybalers vs. Santa Clara Bruins

The Hollister Haybalers and the Santa Clara Bruins will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hollister's tournament run continued when they took on Monta Vista on Friday. Hollister fell 51-43 to Monta Vista. The Haybalers haven't had much luck with the Matadors recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Santa Clara ended up a good deal behind Ann Sobrato on Friday and lost 35-17. The loss was the Bruins' first of the season.

Hollister's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Santa Clara, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Hollister couldn't quite finish off Santa Clara in their previous matchup back in February of 2018 and fell 47-44. Can Hollister avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
