The Dominguez Dons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They were dealt a 44-17 loss at the hands of Norwalk. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Dominguez has suffered since December 21, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norwalk to victory, but perhaps none more so than Janii McGarrah, who scored eight points along with six steals. McGarrah is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Katlyn Moreno, who scored eight points.
Dominguez dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.2 points per game. As for Norwalk, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season.
Dominguez will be playing in front of their home fans against Firebaugh at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Firebaugh is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Norwalk, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellflower at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
