Baseball Recap: Stamford Black Knights vs. St. Joseph Cadets
Stamford extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 8-12. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph Cadets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Black Knights have suffered since April 27th.
As for St. Joseph, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games.
For St. Joseph's part, Michael Roman looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roman has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
