After a string of four wins dating back to last season, Keystone's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 44-29 bruising from the Punxsutawney Chucks. The Panthers were probably out for revenge after losing 54-23 to them when the teams met back in January of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Keystone lost, don't look at Addison Say. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Patrick, who posted two points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Keystone fell to 3-1. As for Punxsutawney, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keystone will take on Cranberry Area at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Punxsutawney, they will challenge Karns City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Karns City will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Punxsutawney surely won't give up without a fight.
