Baseball Game Preview: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Rockmart Yellowjackets

For the first time this season, Coahulla Creek will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will challenge the Rockmart Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Coahulla Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Coahulla Creek's offense. They came up short against Trion on Tuesday, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Rockmart made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bowdon on Friday. Everything went Rockmart's way against Bowdon as Rockmart made off with a 12-0 win. The Yellowjackets have beaten the Red Devils the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Devils has come to flipping the script.

Rockmart's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Coahulla Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coahulla Creek couldn't quite finish off Rockmart in their previous matchup back in March of 2022 and fell 2-0. Can Coahulla Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
