Basketball Recap: Madalyn Sigrist Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcons Win

Colfax won the last time they faced Los Gatos and things went their way on Monday too. The Colfax Falcons wrapped up 2024 with a 66-52 win over the Los Gatos Wildcats.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colfax to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madalyn Sigrist, who went 6 of 7 on her way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laurlyn Massick, who went 8 for 11 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Colfax was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Colfax is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Los Gatos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Colfax will square off against Saint Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saint Francis will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Colfax surely won't give up without a fight. As for Los Gatos, they will face off against St. Mary's at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
