Football Recap: West Elk Takes a Loss

West Elk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-12 loss at the hands of the Sedan Devils. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, West Elk still got an impressive performance from Ryatt Griesel, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown.

West Elk's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Sedan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Elk will challenge Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Sedan, they will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
