Soccer Recap: Santa Catalina Comes Up Short

Santa Catalina's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Gonzales Spartans by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in January.

Santa Catalina's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Gonzales, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Santa Catalina is taking a road trip to square off against King City at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Gonzales does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
