Soccer Recap: Pope Comes Up Short

Pope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Discovery Titans who were credited with the win. The Discovery Titans got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Pope Greyhounds' two.

Pope's record now sits at 6-9. As for Discovery, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Pope will venture away from home to square off against Creekview at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Discovery, they will host Grayson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grayson will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Discovery surely won't give up without a fight.
