Softball Recap: Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS Takes a Loss

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-3 to the Clear Lake Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Clear Lake this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 two weeks ago.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Clear Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-4 loss against Rockford on the 17th. As for Clear Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-7 defeat against Mason City on the 17th.
