Softball Recap: Cheyenne/Reydon Gets the Win

Cheyenne/Reydon won the last time they faced Mooreland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bearcats. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Kynlee Goad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Calli Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimbo Denney, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Cheyenne/Reydon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are undefeated (12-0) when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cheyenne/Reydon's record now sits at 21-12-1. As for Mooreland, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-19.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cheyenne/Reydon beat the Bearcats by a score of 7-0 later that day.
