After a string of three wins, the Southwest SD Raiders's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Hilltop 75-33. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southwest SD in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Southwest SD saw an underclassman step up: Jazlyn Martinez scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Analisa Valencia, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.

Southwest SD now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Hilltop, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Southwest SD will take on the Mariners at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hilltop, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
