Recap: Apostles Lutheran Falcons vs. Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats
The Apostles Lutheran Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Basis Independent Silicon Valley, falling 45-7. Apostles Lutheran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Betsy Tran,
Jocelyn Husted, and
Bella Calderon posted two points each.
Basis Independent Silicon Valley was led to victory by Rinisha Golani and Linda Wang. Golani scored 12 points, while Wang scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wang has scored all season.
Apostles Lutheran's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.
Apostles Lutheran will take on Granada Islamic School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Apostles Lutheran comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Basis Independent Silicon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
