Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Choctaw's Winning Streak

Choctaw dropped down to 8-2 on Friday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Chandler Lions by a score of 2-1. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

As for Chandler, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average this season.

For Chandler's part, their victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Blaklei Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Coming up, Choctaw will host Lawton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chandler, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against Moore on the 22nd.
