Softball Recap: Newnan Gets the Win

15 must be Newnan's lucky number: they beat Dutchtown with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Cougars didn't even let the Bulldogs on the board, marking the Cougars' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

CA Moss looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubree Webb, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Khloe Walker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Newnan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .783. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
