Coleville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 55 points back in December of 2024, they were much more limited against Pyramid Lake on Friday. They had to suffer through a 62-22 loss at the hands of the Lakers. The Wolves have struggled against the Lakers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Virginia City, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-4 win over Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage. The Muckers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Virginia City found their leader in sophomore Kaiya Krum, who went 12 for 16 on her way to 25 points and three steals. Krum is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Walters, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 14 points and seven steals.

Virginia City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.8 points per game. As for Coleville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
