Baseball Recap: Liberty County Comes Up Short

Liberty County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 20-8 to the Islands Sharks.

Glemon English was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. Liberty County is 7-2 when English posts two or more runs, but 1-8 otherwise.

Liberty County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Islands, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-10.

While Liberty County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
