Football Recap: Valley Heights Piles Up the Points Against Herington

Valley Heights won the last time they faced Herington and things went their way on Friday too. The Mustangs took their game with ease, bagging a 49-6 win over the Railroaders. Considering the Mustangs have won three matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Valley Heights and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 18 points in those games. As for Herington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Valley Heights will be playing at home against Republic County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Herington, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
