Softball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Marion's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Muscatine Muskies on Monday.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 10-25-1. As for Muscatine, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will welcome Independence on Thursday. As for Muscatine, they will square off against Bettendorf on Saturday. The last five games the Bulldogs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
