Softball Recap: Rocky Mountain Comes Up Short

Rocky Mountain fell victim to Windsor and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wizards, falling 12-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wizards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on September 4th.

Rocky Mountain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Rocky Mountain and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Windsor, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Coming up, Rocky Mountain will challenge Poudre at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Impalas have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.8 runs per game on average), something the Lobos will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Windsor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverdale Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wizards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 12.4 runs per game this season.
