Basketball Game Preview: Mercer Mustangs vs. Wilmington Greyhounds

The Mercer Mustangs will take on the Wilmington Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Mercer was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-33 to Cochranton. The Mustangs have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Wilmington put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 71-58 win over Redbank Valley.

Wilmington pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mercer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Mercer against Wilmington in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, as the team secured a 64-35 win. Does Mercer have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wilmington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
