Softball Recap: Thomas County Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Lowndes on Monday, Thomas County Central came back down to earth. The Yellow Jackets fell 8-3 to the Tift County Blue Devils on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Yellow Jackets' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Thomas County Central fell to 2-1. As for Tift County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas County Central will head out to take on Colquitt County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tift County, they will challenge Lee County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Blue Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
