Soccer Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer and Roseville squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pioneer had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roseville Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Tigers are ranked 58th).

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Roseville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Pioneer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Roseville, they will square off against Colfax at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roseville's defense has only allowed 0.1 goals per game this season, so Colfax's offense will have their work cut out for them.
