Legend had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Heritage Eagles as they made off with a 16-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Maddie Kessel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Reese Bryant was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Lucy Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
