Lowndes is a perfect 10-0 against Valdosta since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The last three games Lowndes has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Lowndes turned things around against Thomasville on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted since August 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, Valdosta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They came up short against Lanier County, falling 9-0.

Valdosta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayianna McRae, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Karmen Lawson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Valdosta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Lowndes, their win bumped their record up to 6-20.

Everything went Lowndes' way against Valdosta in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Lowndes made off with a 7-0 victory. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
