Live - and final - scores for Week 6 of the Colorado high school football season

As we head into the second half of the regular season, that means it's time for league play to get underway in Class 5A.

And the big-school ranks features three juicy matchups involving ranked teams that should go a long way in determining league titles.

Eaglecrest (Centennial) moved into the final spot of the Top 25 this week, courtesy of its 5-0 record. The Raptors and the classification's leading rusher in Diego Cearns will play host to city rival and fourth-ranked Grandview (Aurora) (4-1) in a 5A League 4 opener.

Three miles separate No. 16 ThunderRidge (Highlands Ranch) (5-0) and 24th-ranked Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch) (4-1), signaling this game will mean a bit more than simply starting 5A League 5 play with a win. Mountain Vista hopes to pull the upset behind the state's leading passer in sophomore Austyn Modrzewski, who has passed for 1,657 yards and 17 TDS.

And down south in Colorado Springs, the 5A League 6 slate begins with a bang with 14th-ranked Pine Creek (Colorado Springs) (4-1) taking on No. 19 Fountain-Fort Carson (4-1). Getting off to a good start is imperative in this stout six-team league, as two other teams are also ranked in the state's Top 25 - Regis Jesuit (Aurora) (7th) and Legend (Parker) (23rd).
