Softball Recap: Oak Park Drops Season-High Score on Ruskin

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Park). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ruskin Golden Eagles a 20-0 shutout on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Northmen needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Karissa Davis was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. Katie Kessler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Oak Park always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Oak Park's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Ruskin, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coming up, Oak Park will take on Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ruskin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
