Volleyball Recap: Kingwood Park Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Kingwood Park, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rudder Rangers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Kingwood Park got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 30-28, 19-25, 25-19.

Kingwood Park can attribute much of their success to Ava Etheridge, who had 15 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Etheridge is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.

Despite the loss, Rudder still got an impressive performance from Riley Wilson, who had seven digs and two aces.

Kingwood Park has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Rudder, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingwood Park will venture away from home to take on La Porte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rudder, they will be taking part in a tournament against Del Valle at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
