Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Wildcats vs. Avonworth Antelopes

The Northwestern Wildcats will face off against the Avonworth Antelopes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwestern is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Northwestern is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Seneca by a score of 47-37.

Makayla Presser-Palmer was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 31 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it 24 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Northwestern's points. Another player making a difference was Courtney Eddy, who posted six points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Avonworth sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 win over Keystone Oaks last Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Antelopes in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Northwestern's win bumped their record up to 24-0. As for Avonworth, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
