Soccer Recap: Humboldt Comes Up Short

Humboldt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Webster City Lynx. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Webster City this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in April.

Humboldt's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9-1. As for Webster City, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 23-0.

Coming up, Humboldt will square off against Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley on Tuesday. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Webster City has already played their next game (against St. Edmond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
