Basketball Recap: Atascadero Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Atascadero had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 54-33 to the Torres Toros. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 40-37 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Torres' win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atascadero will host Dos Pueblos at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Torres, they will welcome Sanger at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
