Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Oak Hills Bulldogs

The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will take on the Oak Hills Bulldogs in a tournament on Saturday. Rancho Cucamonga is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Rancho Cucamonga saw some tournament action on Monday. They put the hurt on Valley View with a sharp 69-43 win. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, in Tuesday's Canine Competition, Oak Hills didn't have enough. The game between them and King didn't end well, with Oak Hills falling 52-37. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Wolves are ranked 46th).

Rancho Cucamonga's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Oak Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Rancho Cucamonga was dealt a bruising 65-16 defeat at the hands of Oak Hills in their previous meeting back in November of 2021. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Rancho Cucamonga was down 34-11.
