Liberty Tech Magnet dropped down to 5-2 on Tuesday, ending the team's five-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Covington Chargers 71-44. The game marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Covington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Corey Somerville had an outrageously good game as he shot 60% from beyond the arc en route to 22 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.9% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Braylon Muex, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 10 points and seven assists.

Looking ahead, Liberty Tech Magnet will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Covington, they will head out to face off against West Memphis at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
