Basketball Game Preview: Colfax Falcons vs. Center Cougars

Colfax is 10-0 against Center since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Colfax Falcons will face off against the Center Cougars at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Colfax has four straight wins, Center has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Wednesday, everything went Colfax's way against Marysville as Colfax made off with a 67-42 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Juliette James was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Kaia Diederichs was another key player, putting up nine points and eight assists.

Colfax was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marysville only racked up three assists.

Meanwhile, Center lost to Oakmont at home by a 54-40 margin on Wednesday.

Colfax's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Everything came up roses for Colfax against Center when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 65-30 victory. Does Colfax have another victory up their sleeve, or will Center turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
