Baseball Recap: Jeff Davis Takes a Loss

Jeff Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Heard County Braves, falling 7-1. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Braves when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jeff Davis' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Heard County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Jeff Davis will be playing in front of their home fans against Callaway at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heard County, they will head out to square off against Vidalia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Braves 3, the Indians 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
