Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

Monte Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 40-14 to the Sweetwater Red Devils. The matchup marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Jada Harris and Princess Eto, who each put up four points.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Sweetwater, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Monte Vista will head out on the road to take on Crawford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sweetwater, they will take on Otay Ranch in a tournament on Friday.
